Kerasia Beach Villa, Kerasia - North East Corfu
|
The scent of pine and eucalyptus wafts gently on to the beach at Kerasia, for this long beach is fringed along its length by these lofty trees which almost completely hide the few buildings (there are only about four!) set behind this lovely shore. One of these houses is Kerasia Beach Villa, a large and handsome house with deeply overhanging eaves draped with purple and pink bougainvillaea.

The villa is divided into four almost identical apartments:- Poppy, Kyriaki, Eleni and Dinos. Each of the four apartments has its own entrance as well as a private patio or balcony which has a sea view partly obscured by the fragrant green hem of trees. This location is perfect for families holidaying together but preferring separate accommodation.
With the fabulous Kerasia Beach literally on your doorstep, Kerasia Beach Villas offer everything you could ask for a laid-back holiday in one of the most beautiful corners of Corfu.

At one end of the bay is a solitary taverna, set by the waters edge and by the small jetty where caiques bring temporary visitors for lunch or drinks. By evening the only boat left is the odd yacht spending the night at anchor and peace descends on Kerasia, a true ‘away-from-it-all’ retreat and a lovely place in which to enjoy the fresh fish and home-made food served in the taverna. |

Kerasia Beach is a shingle beach, with board walks to make it easier to get from your sun bed to the taverna for drinks, ice creams etc. There are also sun umbrellas as well as sun beds to hire for a small daily charge and showers, toilets and changing areas available. Kerasia beach is child friendly, it is flat and the water is quite shallow for a little way out, and then deepens quickly so caution is always recommended. The beach shop (just outside the gates to Kerasia Beach Villas) sells anything from towels and sun creams, to swim wear and books! |

Kerasia Beach is a ‘Blue Flag Beach’, this is the EEC award for recommended beaches.
Only a 20 – 25 minute walk away is Agios Stephanos, with two mini-markets and a choice of five restaurants and two sophisticated cocktail bars. An exchange office, two boat hire agents and gift shops are also to be found on the harbour front of this picturesque fishing village. |

You can also hire a small motor boat as it is a great way to go shopping, either in Agios Stephanos or the larger village and harbour of Kassiopi, which is about 20 minutes by sea – though considerably longer if you stop to swim at some of the numerous uninhabited beaches on the way. |
