There are a number of restaurants, bars and tourist shops on the beach providing a peaceful afternoon drink/meal and the usual buckets, spades, beach-balls and inflatable toys for the kids.

Acharavi is a family resort offering everything from the sandy beach for young children and adults alike to the night life that teenagers require.

Acharavi has it’s own water-park called Hydropolis which is situated at the far end of Acharavi (in the direction of Kassiopi).  This is popular with all, especially families.
The Park stands on a piece of land occupying 40,000 square metres, just 35km from the International airport of Corfu town, in the village of Acharavi. The park which extends over a large estate of landscaped gardens near Acharavi, not only has slides and pools for guests, but also offers the facilities of a complete sports and leisure centre.
At the heart of the park is the pool complex, which features giant slides, like Toboggan, the Double Multi-Run, the Hydro Tube, the Free Fall (new), the Space Bowl (new, unique in Greece), the Kamikaze (new, half wave) and the Lazy River(180m, the fastest in Corfu). Water Volley and water basket games take place in the large happenings pool, as well as aquarobics.

Out-of-the-water sports include tennis (2) on synthetic grass courts (+1), basketball/volleyball, beach volley 1(+2), badminton and table tennis. Fitness enthusiasts have the use of fully equipped outdoor gym. For the less active, there are billiards, table air hockey, video games and hydro massage. Of course at any time you can have a break for refreshments at the Cafi-gelateria, the ship-like bar and the Greek cafi under the mulberry with its traditional sweets and special atmosphere. With its special facilities for children Hydropolis is a paradise for the little ones. A children’s pool with mini-slides: three tubes, two open and one giant baby slide (16), adjoins an adventure playground with solid climbing frames so that the fun continues both in and out of the water.

Hydropolis also offers planned activities for anyone who wishes to join in.
Open air gym, water-games, aqua aerobics, various contests are available, and there is an animation program as well as a theatre for musical events. The park management has overlooked nothing for guest’s enjoyment and comfort, with a large number of activities and services providing for almost every possible need throughout the day. Among them are a tourist shop, a photo shop, lockers, safety deposit boxes, telephone services, children’s WC, trampoline, aerobics and many others. Qualified personnel supervise the pool areas in case of spills amongst the thrills.

Roda beach is a 25 minute walk away (west) and offers similar facilities as in Acharavi.  To the East (about 2km) is the resort of Almyros.  A large portion of this beach is sand-stone - a rocky substance and can be quite slippery.  Almyros tends to be a much quieter beach and is often used by locals.  The resort is developing and there are a small number of good quality restaurants and tavernas to choose from.
