The famous ‘Canal d’Amour Village and Apartments’ was built in 1989 and is owned by the Manessis family. The complex is situated along the top North coast of Sidari, in the beautiful Canal d’Amour area. The owners, Christos, Maria & Spiros have a very long and successful experience in providing traditional Greek hospitality to thousands of people from around the world. You would find it impossible to stay any nearer to the rock formations than at these well equipped apartments, offering you everything your holiday should need.
We offer 26 rooms in total which are made up of studios for two people, and studios for two adults and a child (extra bed is a single sofa bed), and apartments sleeping up to four and five people. All have air-conditioning in the bedrooms, TV, and either a pool view or a sea view.
The pool snack bar should take care of all your culinary needs during the day, while you can enjoy a traditional meal in the restaurant at night. The souvenir shop is open from approx 8.30am until midnight and includes newspapers, cigarettes, stamps, post cards, souvenirs as well as jewelry and money exchange. During the evening there is entertainment in the bar area with a quiz night, happy hour and daily films as well as the pool table, table tennis and table football for all ages to enjoy.
In the bay of Sidari is the ‘Canal d’Amour’, a channeled rock formation, said to be two lovers turned to stone. Any couple swimming through it is promised eternal love! It is one of a number of strange rock formations caused by the erosion of the sandstone cliffs, and there are also secluded sandy coves nestling between the steep, craggy rocks, reached by footpaths which run over the gorse-covered hillocks. Sidari is a long-standing favourite with families and singles alike, thanks to its excellent beaches and relaxed atmosphere. The main beach is a two mile curve of sand and shingle, with safe swimming and a good selection of watersports. The resorts single main street is lined with shops and a wide choice of tavernas and bars. After sundown, it’s lively without going over the top, and there are a couple of good discos. It’s easy to see why this area is such a popular choice with all kinds of holidaymakers.
