North from Corfu Town
 
Quiet beaches

Glyfa: -Strip of shingle/pebble beach, excellent snorkeling. Accessible by steep flight of steps, boat access, taverna.

Nissaki (Skinos):- First right after Nissaki Church,  very quiet, Large flat rocks, rockpools and two tiny coves, large private villa
on waterfront, coastal path to Nissaki Beach and tavernas, 5 minutes.

Kouloura: - Small bay mainly used by boaters, known for excellent snorkeling, small amount of parking. Taverna and small harbour. Kalami resort and facilities in walking distance.

   

Yialiskari: - A little further on from Kalami Bay accessible by path, boat access, tavernas and shops in Kalami.

Koyevinas: - Pebbly beach with crystal clear water, always windy,  sunbed hire. No tavernas, shops.

 

Child Friendly Beaches

Kontakali: - Plenty of sand and shingle beaches and coves, full resort facilities, boat hire and watersports.

Dassia:- Long, sand and shingle beach,  easy access from main road, parking, watersports,  gift shops and taverna/bars.

Ipsos:- Long shingle beach, very shallow water,  sand underfoot.

Barbati: Long wide strip of shingle,  good snorkeling, parking, beach tavernas, boat hire, watersports.

Nissaki (Mitsos Taverna): - Very pretty, tiny cove with sunbed hire, boat rental and watersports, gets crowded during high season,
a few local tavernas,  small harbour, few tavernas and a gift shop.

Kaminaki: -  Excellent snorkeling, boat hire, tavernas, mini market.

Krouzeri:  -  A little further around coastal parth from Kaminaki, long shingle/pebble beach, nearby hotel, watersports, tavernas.

 

Agni:- Mixture of sand and shingle,  allocated parking area with tariff very picturesque, many colourful boats and yachts moor along the jettys and in the small harbour. 3 tavernas,  tables stretch onto beach, fresh seafood daily and traditional local cuisine from 3 waterside tavernas.

Kalami : - Pretty, bay lined with cottages and local tavernas “The White House” of Lawrence Durrell fame lies at the end of the bay
watersports, boat hire, full resort facilities.

Kerasia:-  Long white pebble beach, 1 taverna,  limited parking, sunbed hire.

Avlaki:- Long pebbly cove, sunbed hire, windsurfing and dinghy sailing, breezy, large parking area at far end of beach, coastal footpath through dunes to hidden coves and saltwater lake.

Kassiopi :-  A number of small coves behind harbour,  small access road to left large flat rocks with beautiful turquoise water, small cove with sunbed hire and watersports, further along, a long strip of shingle with full resort facilities.

 

South from Corfu Town

 
Quiet Beaches

Alikes :- flat grey sandy beach near venetian salt pans, excellent for fishing and bird watching.
 
Arkoudillas :- The southern most tip of Corfu, juts out into the open sea, shaded by a forest of cypresses and a towering precipice, and
deserted monastery of the virgin Mary, total peace and tranquility. No facilities, no direct access to beach, must be prepared to walk!!

Bouka:- small sandy bay at river outlet, used mainly by locals

Perama : - long narrow strips of beach adjacent to main coastal road, sand/ shingle coves.

Moriatika/Messongi : - long sand/shingle beaches with all resort facilities.

Boukari : - collection of shingle coves along the main coastal road excellent for fishing and snorkelling

Kavos : - Large sandy beach, warm, shallow water, full resort facilities.

 
 
North Coast
 

Quiet Beaches

Astrakeri : horsehoe shaped cove, shingle beach, very shallow water, two tavernas,parking, near Karousades

Sunset Beach/Peroulades:- steep sandstone cliffs, sandy bay, shallow water

 

Child friendly/family beaches

Sidari :- wide flat sandy beach, full resort facilities ,small water park, sunbeds, umbrellas, watersports, many shops, restaurants, kids playground. Coastal sandpaths To “Canal D’amour (dangerous currents).

Roda :- long flat sandy  beach, adjacent to shops, bars, restaurants easy access, shallow water, parking etc.

 

Acharavi :- very long sandy beach,  shallow water, can become windy, many bars, cafes, etc lining the beach, sunbeds, umbrellas etc, parking accessed through many streets leading off main Acharavi centre.

Almiros :- Quieter long sandy beach, parking on sand flats, small sand dunes,  excellent for “buckets and spades”, shallow water

Agios Spiridon : - between Acharavi and Kassiopi, sandy cove with roadside parking, few shops, tavernas etc, small river outlet and large saltwater lake behind, coastal paths over small bridge with few hidden shingle coves

Kalamaki :- Between San Spiridon and Kassiopi, very shallow water, long sandy cove, 1 taverna/bar,  on beach parking, pedalo hire, sunbeds etc.

 
West Coast to South
 
Quiet Beaches

Agios Georgios Pagi: - Long golden sandy beach, small resort with all facilities,  sunbed/umbrella hire windsurfing.

Liapades :- small sandy beach, opportunity to hire boat to more inaccessible coves and bays to the south of the resort

 

Myrtiotissa :- known as an unofficial nudist beach! Please note nudism is illegal in Greece!! Set at the foot of a very steep track, sandy cove, shop/snack bar, pedalo hire, sunbeds and umbrellas, small monastery nearby

Ermones :- small pebbly bay, boat hire, sunbeds and basic resort facilities, the reputed landing place of Odysseus.

Paramomas :- long sandy beach, scattered with unusually shaped pebbles, few seafood tavernas, naturally shaped pool formed in
rocks is accessed to the south by rock path

Halikounas :- separated from Lake Korisson by a sand bank, a paradise for nature lovers accessible through cedar forest at Kastro Gardiki (long walk) or from Agios Mattheos, swim from the sandbank in iridescent blue water and enjoy total seclusion!

Linia :- North of Agios Georgious,  sandy beach backed by sand dunes

Agios Stefanos (west) :- Friendly family resort, wide sandy beach, shallow water, all beach facilities.

Arillas :- Gently shelving sandy cove, direct access to beach from adjacent road ,watersports, tavernas, shops etc.

Paleokastritsa:-  Collection of sandy coves, motor boats for hire, boat trips to blue lagoon and sea caves, sunbeds, umbrellas, full resort facilities.  16th Century monaster with working olive press above resort, parking.

Glyfada :- large wide sandy bay, sand dunes behind beach, can become windy. Strong currents when windy. Full resort facilities, parking

   

Pelekas : - Golden sandy beach between Pelekas and Yialiskari

Agios Gordis :- Broad sandy beach, shallow waterlimited parking, sunbeds and umbrellas for hire, full resort facilities behind beach,
diving school offereing diving trips to sunken wrecks, becomes crowded in high season

Vitalades :- Small sandy family bach, full resort facilities, beachfront tavernas, sunbeds and umbrellas for hire
