In 1995, on Corfu, started the construction of AQUALAND, one of the most impressive waterparks in Europe. Construction works lasted two year, so that the park ensures the highest quality for the safety and enjoyment of its visitors. The main rides and water attractions are manufactured by one of the most famous companies who has completed a lot of projects with major clients, including Universal Studios and Disney parks, worldwide.

Open daily from May through to October and offering many ‘wet and wild’ attractions for all ages. On site photo shop, boutique and supermarket, coffee bar and ice cream parlour, changing rooms, showers and lockers, are just some of the attractions on offer. Children’s play ground and special baby pools, min cars and boats provide facilities for young children and babies. The entrance ticket entitles you to use all of the facilities within the park including sunbeds and umbrellas, but exclude refreshments. A coach transfer option is available from most resorts. Hydropolis, Corfu’s newest Water Park, is situated on the northern coast of the Island, attached to Gelina Village & Resort. The Park stands on a piece of land occupying 40,000 square metres, just 35km from the International airport of Corfu town, in the village of Acharavi. The Park which extends over a large estate of landscaped gardens near Acharavi, not only has slides and pools for guests, but also offers the facilities of a complete sports and leisure centre.

At the heart of the park is the pool complex, which features giant slides, like Toboggan, the Double Multi-Run, the Hydro Tube, the Free Fall (new), the Space Bowl (new, unique in Greece), the Kamikaze (new, half wave) and the Lazy River(180m, the fastest in Corfu). Water Volley and water basket games take place in the large happenings pool, as well as aquarobics.

Out-of-the-water sports include tennis (2) on synthetic grass courts (+1), basketball/volleyball, beach volley 1(+2), badminton and table tennis. Fitness enthusiasts have the use of fully equipped outdoor gym. For the less active, there are billiards, table air hockey, video games and hydro massage. Of course at any time you can have a break for refreshments at the Cafi-gelateria, the ship-like bar and the Greek cafi under the mulberry with its traditional sweets and special atmosphere. Don’t forget to try some of the best Greek food in town at the self-service restaurant.

With its special facilities for children Hydropolis is a paradise for the little ones. A children’s pool with mini-slides: three tubes, two open and one giant baby slide (16), adjoins an adventure playground with solid climbing frames so that the fun continues both in and out of the water.

Hydropolis also offers planned activities for anyone who wishes to join in.
Open air gym, water-games, aqua aerobics, various contests are available, and there is an animation program as well as a theatre for musical events. The park management has overlooked nothing for guest’s enjoyment and comfort, with a large number of activities and services providing for almost every possible need throughout the day. Among them are a tourist shop, a photo shop, lockers, safety deposit boxes, telephone services, children’s WC, trampoline, aerobics and many others. Qualified personnel supervise the pool areas in case of spills amongst the thrills. There is also a farm zoo with ducks, geese, ostriches, fowls, chickens, peacocks, rabbits and soon deer.

The location of Hydropolis gives us the advantage to offer a unique day trip to Acharavi. Guests will be able to visit the park, where they can enjoy themselves with all activities and facilities mentioned above and have access to the sandy beach of Gelina Village, awarded with the blue flag of EU, by the Piraten Bar and the Gelina Water Sports.
