Conveniently situated in the heart of cosmopolitan Corfu Town, just a few minutes walk from the famous “Liston”, this ground floor open plan town house, part of a Venetian building, has been lovingly restored by its proud owners to its true traditional character.

Decorated cleverly using a mixture of both bright and soft colours that enhance the natural stone wall, wooden beams and terracotta floor tiles. Once upon a time, this was two store rooms or ‘Apotheekee’ as the locals call them, until their recent transformation. |

The kitchen area is small but adequate with a half oven/grill, fridge, kettle and toaster, and has been finished off to coordinate with the rest of the room. The sitting, dining and bedroom areas all share one space with curtains to close off the bed if required. |

There is a small wicker sofa and 2 chairs to relax and unwind in aswell as a pull out table and chairs for dining. A mosquito net hangs over the double bed and there are drawers under the bed for storage aswell as a wardrobe. |

A modern shower room is located next to the kitchen with WC, hand basin, mirror and tiled corner shower with curtain. |

Giallina’s Town House is a perfect base to explore the art and culture of historical Corfu Town where a wide range of events are regularly held, including classical music festivals, carnivals, parades and concerts. Corfu Town is also renowned for shopping, many European designer labels can be found here, clothes, shoes and handbags along with beautiful jewellery to name a few can be found in the smart shops and boutiques. |

The town house got its name “Giallina’s’ after the great Greek artist Angelos Giallinas who many years ago, lived in this street.
‘The Artist of Corfu’ as he is known, Angelos Giallinas (1857-1939) is the most celebrated painter of Corfu’s countryside, a painter whose work captured the soft
light of the island. Much imitated (many present-day artists follow the style of the
so-called ‘Giallinas School’) and very productive, his paintings hang in public and
private collections all over the world, bringing the gentle warmth of the Corfu sun to
other climates.
