Situated on the main road leading into the village of Benitses, a mere 15 minutes drive south of Corfu town, is this great museum, fun for all ages, and not to be missed!

After many years of dangerous expeditions through cyclones, tides and heat, facing poisonous snakes, crocodiles and the shark-infested waters of tropical seas and islands, a single family managed to collect many specimens from the beautiful world of the deep. This museum (another gem for Corfu) will certainly satisfy its visitors’ curiosity. It is the second largest museum of its kind in Europe. It also sells souvenirs and seashells for collectors. |

After visiting it ourselves, we do suggest you take advantage of the free guided tour on offer, however, due to popular demand, we ask that you call us before hand so that we can assist in arranging a time to suit both parties. Spiros or his father will take you round the museum and explain each shell and its origin to you as well as answering any questions you may throw at them. They have been collecting the different shells for over 40 years and can proudly say they have 10,000 different exhibits on show.
