There
is no better way to explore the coastline and discover many deserted
bays and coves with their translucent water to add to the overall
enjoyment of your holiday than with a small boat, at your own
pace and finding your own secluded bathing spot. Visit some of
the many seaside tavernas, gift shops or markets by boat, stopping
off for a swim or a snorkel on the way. Travel by boat has certainly
proven a much more relaxing and desirable option to the many
visitors who return to Corfu each year.
To avoid disappointment during the popular months,
we suggest you reserve in advance the size of engine, boat and
duration you require as there are limited numbers of boats available.

All rates include the

- Life-jackets and flares are included by law. Children's life-jackets
are available
on request but supplies are limited, please request at time of booking.
Life-jackets for infants (i.e. under 2 years) are not available.

Buoyancy aids, flares, oars and anchor.

All rates exclude the
following:- |
- Petrol. It is charged to the hirer on return of
the boat at the approx rate of 1.50 Euros per litre (subject to
change if fuel prices increase)
- Optional boat and engine damage waver. This can
be paid for locally in Euros.
- Any damage incurred during the period of rental
will be charged locally.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION |
Anyone hiring motor boats
is obliged to adhere to local laws which prevent them from venturing
into exposed areas or going to sea in adverse weather conditions.
The parameters of your sailing area will be explained to you by
the local boat hire agent. The agent will require the boat to be
picked up and dropped off by 6pm (18:00hrs) at a designated harbour
or quay - this requirement is both for your own safety and that
of the boat.
We recommend that the capacity of the boat hired exceeds the number
in the party. The relatively small extra cost for a larger boat
end engine ensures maximum comfort and speed, particularly for 'all
adult' parties. Local regulations do not permit you to exceed the
boat capacity.
Storm damage, or loss/damage due to inadequate or careless mooring,
is entirely the responsibility of the hirer.
Guests should be advised that refunds are not given when their
boat cannot be used due to bad weather. Decision will be at the
discretion of individual boat suppliers.
Guests staying in the Kassiopi/Avlaki/Coyevinas area should note
that sea conditions in the middle of the afternoon sometimes make
it difficult to travel along the coastline in a very small boat.
We therefore recommend a larger boat and engine is hired, particularly
for guests south of this area wanting to journey north of Agios
Stephanos to the sandy beaches above Kassiopi.
We recommend that ALL guests bring with them the following items:-
Mobile Phone, sun block/lotion, sunglasses, hat, t-shirt, swim
wear, towels, change of clothing, camera, drinking water and a
waterproof lightweight jacket for early and late season just in
case or showers.

SPEED BOATS |
All drivers
must be very competent and hold a current speedboat licence. Any
boat with an engine
capacity over 30 HP or more is considered a
speedboat and therefore a licence, such as the
'International Helmsman
Certificate of Competence", is required
by the driver.
Due to current Greek government legislation, waterskiing is not
available with any hire boats on Corfu.
