We
are always on the look out for quality villas in outstanding
locations and this very private villa occupies an enviable
location at the peaceful end of lovely Karousades in
the north of the island between Roda & Sidari, with
panoramic views over the sea and bay of Sidari and Canal d’Amour.
You can relax and watch the sun setting behind the mountains from the comfort
of the private roof top swimming pool. |

The
first impression upon entering the living-dining room is
of cheerful lightness due to the sea facing French doors
and shiny tiles throwing abundant light onto the white walls.
Plenty of comfortable seating has been placed around the
open stone fireplace and wooden dining table and chairs.
The ground floor also contains a fully fitted kitchen and
one double bedroom with adjacent bathroom and washing machine.
Once up the wooden staircase, the first floor holds a twin
bedroom (that can be made into a double bed) with full ensuite
bathroom, a double bedroom and another twin bedroom both
sharing a separate full sized bathroom. |

It
is little wonder that this villa has been designed for
outdoor living and the beautiful pool and surrounding roof
terrace provide yet another area from which to enjoy these
vistas and enhance further this delightful house. Highly
recommended, Panorama Villa is truly a ‘get away
from it all’ house and an ideal country retreat.

Karousades
is a village of some 1300 inhabitants, and was established
in 20 BC by the Karousses, refugees from the Pontian region
of the Black Sea. During the Byzantine period, it was a
command post with a well developed economy. In 1453, the
Theotokis family settled in the village, establishing a
great dynasty which went on to play a leading role in the
economic and political life of the island. Their grand
mansion, built in 1500, is preserved today and is the most
striking feature of the village’s main street. It is a lofty house built
with its defensive features, volta and bontza. The
village is full of life all year round, with its own bakery,
grocer’s shops, grills, cafes packed with older men
of the village and streets full of people. |
